EGBURY ROAD

Egbury Road is a new single-storey home positioned within the heart of a conservation area. The brief called for a contemporary residence that could sit quietly within its rural setting, while opening generously to its garden and wider landscape.

The scheme is composed of two pavilion-like wings connected by a glazed link, creating a series of sheltered courtyards and garden rooms. This arrangement allows the building to sit low in the landscape, breaking down its overall mass into legible, modest forms that respond to the grain of the village and the scale of nearby structures.
