Cotswold self-build home submitted for planning

This fascinating character home in the rural landscapes of the Cotswolds, is our latest project to be submitted for planning. The home has been designed to work to Passiv-haus standards, and achieve certification along with BREEAM recognition.

Passiv-haus is a voluntary standard for energy efficiency in a building, which reduces the building's ecological footprint. It results in ultra-low energy buildings that require little energy for space heating or cooling. The building has also been designed with self-build in mind - this results in a built construction method that relies on pre-fabricated components, lightweight materials and easy to adapt methods which will allow the client to construction the majority of the house themselves.

Whilst only in the initial planning stages, this luxurious and modern house design channels the traditional Cotswold stone synonymous across the region, utilising natural materials it opens itself up making the most of its finessed detailing and sharp lines.
