Project Overview
This modern farmhouse was designed as a sophisticated family home that merges rural charm with contemporary living. The brief called for a design that respected traditional gabled forms while providing expansive, light-filled interiors and strong connections to outdoor living spaces. The result is a striking home that blends classic farmhouse character with sleek modern detailing.

Design Approach
The architectural language is defined by natural stone, dark timber cladding, and a standing-seam metal roof, combining rustic textures with crisp lines. A careful balance of solid masonry walls and floor-to-ceiling glazing creates a dialogue between tradition and modernity. Outdoor living is central to the design, with covered terraces, landscaped courtyards, and a pool area that extends the living environment.

Spatial Layout
The ground floor is organised around a generous open-plan living, dining, and kitchen space, with large sliding doors that open directly onto the terrace and pool. The two wings of the home create distinct zones: one for entertaining and family gathering, the other for more private functions. Upstairs, a mix of bedrooms and flexible spaces overlook the garden and pool, providing both privacy and panoramic views.

Sustainability & Materials
Natural stone was chosen for its permanence and connection to regional building traditions, while timber and metal elements introduce warmth and precision. High-performance glazing, energy-efficient roofing, and integrated shading strategies ensure the home is as sustainable as it is stylish. Durable materials were selected for longevity and minimal maintenance.
